Week 17: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played February 17-23, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Offensive – Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Northwestern College (Forward)

Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Van Kalsbeek, a freshman from Orange City, Iowa, averaged 31.5 points in two games this week, posting a career-high 34 points in Saturday's win over Waldorf. He also added eight total steals, 8.5 rebounds per game, and 10 total assists.

Defensive – Jesse Van Kalsbeek, Northwestern College (Forward)

Jesse Van Kalsbeek of Northwestern College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Van Kalsbeek, a freshman from Orange City, Iowa, led the Raiders on both ends of the floor, picking up eight steals in two wins for the Raiders. Defensively, he also tallied a block and 17 rebounds on the week.
