Week 3: GPAC Men's Basketball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following men's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played November 11-17, 2024. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week

Offensive – Tristan Smith, Concordia University (Forward)

Tristan Smith of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Smith, a senior from Elizabeth, Colorado, produced a career high 34 points on 14-for-16 shooting in ninth-ranked Concordia's GPAC opener versus Morningside. Smith also collected 13 rebounds and two assists. He is averaging 18.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game so far this season.

Defensive – Ugo Ejiofor, Waldorf University (Center)

Ugo Ejiofor of Waldorf University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports men's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Ejiofor, a senior from Dallas, Texas, averaged 9.5 rebounds per game along with two blocks and 1 steal per contest. In a win at Hastings he had 12 rebounds. He also chipped in with 19 points.
