Field Events – Harper Boche, Concordia University
Harper Boche from Concordia University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Boche, a sophomore from Torrington, Wyoming, achieved a personal best in the hammer throw while winning the event at the Prairie Wolf Invite. Her hammer mark of 178' 9" is an automatic national qualifying standard that ranks 11th best in the NAIA (third in the GPAC). At the same meet, Boche posted marks of 40' 3.5" in the shot put and 127' 6" in the discus.
Track Events – Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia University
Adrianna Rodencal of Concordia University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Rodencal, a senior, from Lincoln, Nebraska, competed in five separate events at the Drake Relays and again hit the NAIA A standard in the 100 hurdles and 400 hurdles. She placed top six in both events, which featured NCAA Division I competition. Rodencal also helped the team's 4x400 relay to a season best time of 3:49.19 (B standard). Rodencal did not hit PRs in the hurdles, but clocked times that would rank in the top four nationally (No. 1 in the 100 hurdles).
