Week 5: GPAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Women's Indoor Track & Field Athletes-of-the-Week
Field Events – Fran Travis, Dordt University
Fran Travis from Dordt University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Travis, a sophomore from Spirit Lake, Iowa, won two events, and had three top-five finishes at the Red Raider Open. With over 30 athletes all three events she hit the 'A' standard once again and improved her rank in the hammer (6th in NAIA, 2nd in GPAC and 2nd all-time at Dordt). She also hit the 'B' standard and won the discus where she is third in the NAIA and placed fourth in the shot put and just missed on hitting the 'B' standard.
Track Events – Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia University
Adrianna Rodencal of Concordia University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Rodencal, a senior, from Lincoln, Nebraska, broke her own school records in the hurdles while posting the top times in the NAIA this season in both the 100 hurdles (13.04) and 400 hurdles (58.02). She also ran the anchor leg for a 4x100 that clocked an NAIA B standard. Officially, Rodencal did not place at the meet in the 100 hurdles (did not run in the finals).
