Week 4: GPAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week

Field Events – Adysen McCarter, Concordia University
Adysen McCarter from Concordia University is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. McCarter, a sophomore from Overton, Nebraska, broke her own school record in the triple jump with her mark of 39' 6.5" at the Concordia Invite. She ranks sixth nationally and first in the GPAC in the event. McCarter also won the triple jump competition at the Hastings Invite and clocked a personal best in the 200 meters as part of the week.
Track Events – Katie Vogt, Doane University
Katie Vogt of Doane University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Vogt, a senior, from Pierce, Nebraska, earned first-place finishes in the 400 at both the Concordia Invite and the NWU/Doane Dual, including a school-record time of 53.32 at the dual meet. That mark not only broke the program record but currently ranks first in the NAIA. Earlier in the week, she also won the 400 meters at Concordia with a time of 55.09, giving her two NAIA "A" standard qualifying marks. In addition to her individual success, Vogt played a key role in Doane's 4x400 relay team that placed first with a time of 3:49.38, meeting the NAIA "B" standard.
