Week 4: GPAC Women's Outdoor T&F Athletes of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's outdoor track & field athletes-of-the-week for events held April 7 - April 13, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Field Events – Abigail Gerber, Concordia University

Abigail Gerber from Concordia University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. Gerber, a senior from Columbus, Nebraska,  placed in the top four of each of her throwing events at the Hastings Invite. Gerber turned in a season best NAIA "A" standard in the shot put (47' 11.25"), which ranks her number one in the GPAC and second in the NAIA this season. Gerber was just off the NAIA "B" standard in the hammer throw. 

Track Events – Adrianna Rodencal, Concordia University

Adrianna Rodencal of Concordia University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Rodencal a junior from Lincoln, Nebraska, clocked automatic national qualifying times in both hurdle events at the Hastings Invite. On the NAIA national lists, she now ranks number two in the 100 hurdles (13.46) and third in the 400 hurdles (1:01.36). Rodencal also ran the anchor leg for the 4x100 relay and the leadoff leg for the 4x400 relay for the Bulldogs.
