Field Events – Abigail Gerber, Concordia University
Abigail Gerber from Concordia University is this week's women's field athlete-of-the-week. Gerber, a senior from Columbus, Nebraska, won all three of her throwing events at the Concordia Invite. In the shot put, Gerber tossed a season best mark of 47' 3," which ranks No. 2 on the NAIA national list. Gerber also beat out fields of 26 and 30 athletes in the discus (138' 2") and hammer (163' 7"), respectively, at the Concordia Invite.
Track Events – Kerrigan Myers, Midland University
Kerrigan Myers of Midland University is this week's women's track athlete-of-the-week. Myers, a senior from Galion, Ohio, won the 100m hurdles and the heptathlon at the Friends Spring Invitational this week. She reached the NAIA A Standard in the hurdles with a time of 13.86 and had a score of 4510 points in the heptathlon. She ranks 3rd in the hurdles and 5th in the heptathlon nationally.
