Field Events – Imani Skanes, College of Saint Mary
Imani Skanes from the College of Saint Mary is this week's field athlete-of-the-week. Skanes, a freshman from Omaha, Nebraska, set a meet record, a Walz Fieldhouse facility record and a program record while competing in the long jump at the Concordia Invite. She reached the national 'A' standard and recorded the No. 1 NAIA mark this season with her winning long jump (19 feet, 9 3/4 inches) 6.04m.
Track Events – Tania Gleason, Doane University
Tania Gleason of Doane University is this week's track athlete-of-the-week. Gleason, a senior, from Bennington, Nebraska, won the 200m dash, in a field of 53 runners, with a time of 24.72. Her track conversion time of 24.35 is fourth-fastest in the NAIA. She also ran the second leg of the women's 4x400m relay that posted a time of 3:50.36. The track conversion time of 3:47.35 ranks second in the NAIA. Gleason also took second in the 60m, finishing behind teammate Neryah Hekl.
