Week 5: GPAC Women's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played September 22-28, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Women's Offense – Tuva Hammarlund, Morningside University (Midfielder)

Tuva Hammarlund of Morningside University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Hammarlund, a junior from Stockholm, Sweden, had three goals and an assist in this week's pair of victories, with all three scores coming in the win over Midland. She took just four shots on the week, with three of them finding the net.

Women's Defense – Lydia Zylstra, Dordt University (Keeper)

Lydia Zylstra of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Zylstra, a senior from Pella, Iowa, made 11 saves in the Defenders 0-0 draw against Dakota Wesleyan. This was her third match of the season with double-digit saves. Zylstra followed with a 6-0 shutout win against Mount Marty, a team that was unbeaten in GPAC play going into the match. Zylstra made four saves in the win over the Lancers.
