Week 14: GPAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played February 9-15, 2026. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week

Offensive – Macy Sievers, Dordt University (Guard)

Macy Sievers of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Sievers, a senior from Storm Lake, Iowa, recorded her third triple-double of the season in Dordt's win over Briar Cliff on Wednesday. Her 15 assists against Briar Cliff tied the school record she had established the previous week. Against Midland she had 15 points and eight assists as the Defenders clinched at least a share of the GPAC title. On the week she averaged a double-double (17.5 points / 11.5 assists).

Defensive – Alexis Folkers, Mount Marty University (Guard)

Alexis Folkers of Mount Marty University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Folkers, a junior from St. Helena, Nebraska, averaged 12 rebounds a game to help the Lancers go 2-0 on the week and upset ninth-ranked Dakota Wesleyan. She also added six steals and eight assists on the week to go along with 11.5 points per game.
