Week 7: GPAC Women's Basketball Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following women's basketball players-of-the-week for contests played December 8-14, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-2026 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Basketball Players-of-the-Week

Offensive – Gracie Schoonhoven, Dordt University (Forward)

Gracie Schoonhoven of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball offensive player-of-the-week.  Schoonhoven, a junior from Hospers, Iowa, had a career-high 35 points in a win over #14 Dakota Wesleyan and followed that with a 26-point performance over #9 Concordia. She converted 65 percent of her field goals and had eight rebounds in each game.

Defensive – Macy Sievers, Dordt University (Guard)

Macy Sievers of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports women's basketball defensive player-of-the-week.  Sievers, a senior from Storm Lake, Iowa, averaged 12.5 defensive rebounds per game in a pair of wins over #14 Dakota Wesleyan and #9 Concordia. She also had 2.5 steals and 1.5 blocks per game as well as pitching in offensively with 15.5 points and 8.0 assists per game.
