Championship Series of 2026 GPAC Softball Tournament Set

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The two brackets for the 2026 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Softball Tournaments finished Thursday, April 30, in Fremont, Nebraska and Sioux Center, Iowa.

In Fremont, top-seed Midland defeated four-seed Dakota Wesleyan 5-3, ending the Tigers' run in the tournament. In a win-or-go-home scenario, Midland beat eight-seed Hastings 5-4 in ten innings to force game No. 7. The Warriors defeated the Broncos 7-3 in the pod final to advance to the GPAC championship series.

In Sioux Center, two-seed Dordt eliminated six-seed Concordia 6-4 and advanced to the Dordt pod final. In the pod final, three-seed Morningside defeated Dordt 13-4, moving on to the GPAC championship series.

Midland has secured the league's first berth to the NAIA Opening Round, Morningside will receive the second GPAC berth to the NAIA Opening Round as either the tournament champion or runner-up.
