MEN
Nicholas Freeland, Hastings College – 165lb Weight Class
Hastings wrestler Nicholas Freeland is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Freeland, a junior from Topeka, Kansas, was dominant in his 18-1 tech fall win over Midland's Francisco Duran at 165, leading Hastings to a 36-18 dual victory.
WOMEN
Jayla Ford, Hastings College – 160lb Weight Class
Hastings College wrestler Jayla Ford is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Ford, a freshman from Bixby, Oklahoma, won both matches at 160 by fall, leading to team wins of 27-21 against Sioux Falls and a 46-4 win over Colby Community College. She pinned Rachel Berger of Sioux Falls at the 5:08 mark and needed less than three minutes to pin Atavia Cain of Colby.
