MEN
Tyson Beauperthuy, Doane University – 184lb Weight Class
Doane wrestler Tyson Beauperthuy is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Beauperthuy, a senior from Colorado Springs, Colorado, won the 184-pound division at the Embry-Riddle Mile High Open on Saturday with a 4-0 record. He recorded two wins by pin and two by tech fall as he won the 184-bracket for the third consecutive year. The tournament victory was the eighth in Beauperthuy's Doane career.
WOMEN
Cristelle Rodriguez, Doane University – 124lb Weight Class
Doane wrestler Cristelle Rodriguez this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Wrestler-of-the-Week. Rodriguez, a senior from Clovis, California, 4-0 day at the Embry-Riddle Mile High Open to win the 124-pound bracket. In winning her 13th tournament as a Tiger, Rodriguez won her fourth Mile High Open and moved her record at the event to 15-0. She averaged 1:02 of mat time over the four matches (4:08 total), picking up a pin and three tech falls while out-scoring her opponents 40-0.
