Week 2: Men's Volleyball Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Volleyball players-of-the-week for contests played January 30-February 5, 2023. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2022-2023 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Attacker – Downey Huynh, University of Jamestown (Outside)
Downey Huynh of the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Attacker-of-the-Week. Huynh, a senior, from Fountain Valley, California, had a career-high 24 kills in a five-set win over Dordt. He hit .543 in the match and also added six digs and a service ace for the Jimmies.
Setter- Derek Correa, University of Jamestown
Derek Correa from the University of Jamestown is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Setter-of-the-Week. Correa, a senior from Vega Baja, Puerto Rico, piled up a team-high 57 assists and 16 digs and a pair of blocks in a win over Dordt. The 57 assists established a new school record for assists in a match.
Defender – Robert Piekarz, Dordt University (Libero)
Robert Piekarz of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Volleyball Defender-of-the-Week. Piekarz, a sophomore from Warsaw, Poland, finished the week with 21 digs. He also was great in the serve receive game, having just one error in 32 attempts.
