Concordia Wins 2025 GPAC Men’s Soccer Tournament Championship
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Championship Match of the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Men’s Soccer Tournament was played on Tuesday night in Seward, Nebraska, at Bulldog Stadium on the Concordia University campus.
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Championship Match of the 2025 Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) Postseason Men's Soccer Tournament was played on Tuesday night in Seward, Nebraska, at Bulldog Stadium on the Concordia University campus.
Three seed Concordia posted a 2-1 win over fourth seed Morningside to claim the GPAC title.
The Bulldogs scored first on a goal by Oliver Benson, with an assist from Cleme Suarez, at the 20:46 mark. Concordia carried a 1-0 lead into halftime. The Mustangs tied it at the 70:55 mark on an unassisted goal by Bennet Buchwald. The game winning goal was scored by Concordia's Ricards Busmeisters at 78:52 on an assist from Oliver Benson.
Concordia advances, as the league's automatic representative, to the NAIA National Men's Soccer National Championship Opening Round (on November 20-22). GPAC men's soccer only receives one automatic bid with eleven teams.
The 2025 NAIA Men's Soccer National Championship will be December 1-8, at the Orange Beach Complex in Orange Beach, Alabama.
