Week 9: GPAC Men's Soccer Players of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week for contests played October 20-26, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program. 

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Men's Soccer Players-of-the-Week

Men's Offense – Tim Berger, Hastings College (Forward)

Tim Berger of Hastings College is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Berger, a sophomore from Koenigsfeld, Germany, had a hat trick, including the game-winning goal in the 70th minute, to seal the 3-2 win over Briar Cliff. For the week, he had three goals on 11 shots, with four of them on goal.

Men's Defense – Inigo Chavarria, Concordia University (Keeper)

Inigo Chavarria of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Soccer Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Chavarria, a senior from Jaca, Spain, notched his second shutout of the season as the Bulldogs defeated Dordt, 2-0, at home. Chavarria preserved the clean sheet with five saves. In eight games played this season, Chavarria has allowed just six goals (0.75 goals against average). He has also made 32 saves on the year.
