Week 9: GPAC Golfers of the Week

(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following golfers-of-the-week for March 31-April 6, 2025.  Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2024-2025 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/GPAC Golfers-of-the-Week

Women – Lucy Brown, Morningside University
Lucy Brown, of Morningside University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Women's Golfer-of-the-Week. Brown, a sophomore from Southport, United Kingdom, was the individual medalist at this year's Peru State Spring Invite, leading the Mustangs to the team title. Brown held a five-stroke advantage over the runner up, while Morningside held a 20-stroke lead.

Men – Jake Richmond, Concordia University
Jake Richmond of Concordia University is the GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Men's Golfer-of-the-Week. Richmond, a junior from Elkhorn, Nebraska, turned in his second top 10 tournament finish in a row. At the Bethel Spring Invitational (April 5-6), Richmond shot 75-76 (151) and placed sixth in a field of 65 golfers. Concordia placed sixth out of 11 squads as a team. Richmond leads the Bulldogs with a season scoring average of 75.9.
