Week 10: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of October 27-November 2, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Offense – Connor Drake, Quarterback (Dakota Wesleyan University)
Dakota Wesleyan quarterback Connor Drake is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Drake, a junior from Maryville, Missouri, stepped in the starting QB role this week due to injury. He went 26-39 (66.7%) passing, for 402 yards and four touchdowns in 44-41 overtime win against Mount Marty. It was the first time a Dakota Wesleyan quarterback surpassed 400 yards passing since the 2018 season. The Tigers host Midland on November 8. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Cody Winslow, Defensive Lineman (Dakota Wesleyan University)
Defensive lineman Cody Winslow of Dakota Wesleyan University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Winslow, a junior from Hillsdale, Wyoming, filled up the stat sheet with seven total tackles, 2.5 sacks, 3.5 TFLs. He also forced a fumble that was picked up and returned for a touchdown in a 44-41 overtime win against Mount Marty. Additionally, he blocked an extra point. The Tigers host Midland on November 8. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
Special Teams – Stephen Leinen, Kicker (Dordt University)
Stephen Leinen of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Leinen, a junior from Harlan, Iowa, went 4-for-4 on PATs and converted a 40-yard field goal in Dordt's five point win on the road at Hastings. The Defenders host Concordia on November 8. Kickoff will be at 1 pm.
