Week 3: GPAC Football Players of the Week
(Sioux City, Iowa) – The Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC) and Hauff Mid-America Sports are proud to announce the following football players-of-the-week for games played the week of September 8-14, 2025. Hauff Mid-America Sports is the presenting sponsor of the 2025-26 GPAC Players-of-the-Week and Players and Coaches-of-the-Year awards program.

Hauff Mid-America Sports/ Football Players-of-the-Week
Offense – Jonny Puelz, Wide Receiver (Concordia University)
Concordia wide reciever Jonny Puelz is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Offensive Player-of-the-Week. Puelz, a junior Lincoln, Nebraska, scored each of Concordia's three touchdowns in the 27-22 home win over Dakota Wesleyan. He hauled in seven receptions for 176 yards, averaging 25.1 yards per catch. His touchdowns covered distances of 19, 49 and 72 yards, respectively. The Bulldogs have the week off before traveling to Waldorf on September 27. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Defense – Carson Fehlhafer, Defensive Line (Concordia University)
Defensive lineman Carson Fehlhafer of Concordia University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Defensive Player-of-the-Week. Fehlhafer, a senior from Utica, Nebraska, had a huge impact on the defensive end in No. 21 Concordia's 27-22 win over Dakota Wesleyan. He piled up 13 tackles, seven tackles for loss, four sacks and two blocked kicks (one field goal and one PAT). He was also credited with three quarterback hurries. The Bulldogs have the week off before traveling to Waldorf on September 27. Kick off will be at 1 pm.
Special Teams – Stephen Leinen, Kicker (Dordt University)
Stephen Leinen of Dordt University is this week's GPAC/Hauff Mid-America Sports Special Teams Player-of-the-Week. Leinen, a junior from Harlan, Iowa, was perfect on five PATs and converted two field goals of 49 and 51 yards in Dordt's 41-0 win over Doane. Scored 11 kicking points and had four touchbacks in eight kickoffs. The Defenders have the week off before they travel to Northwestern on September 27. Kick off will be at 6 pm.
