The Sioux City Sports Authority and the Events Facilities Advisory Board are pleased to announce that Blue Bunny will be the title sponsor for the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) National Volleyball Championship this December. The event will be held December 2-6 at the Tyson Events Center/Gateway Arena.

"Blue Bunny is proud to be the title sponsor for the 2008 NAIA Women's Volleyball Championship", says Mike Wells, chief executive officer of Wells' Dairy, Inc. "We feel it's important to support the Sioux City area as an excellent showcase for great family oriented events and great organizations like the NAIA, along with supporting the student athletes in their quest for excellence." Blue Bunny is also a continuing team sponsor of the NAIA Women's Basketball Championship.

"It's a great fit," adds Sports Authority President Corey Westra. "Blue Bunny takes great pride in delivering outstanding products and is committed to excellence. NAIA shares that commitment to excellence and we take great pride in our outstanding student athletes. We are committed to delivering a top notch volleyball tournament in Sioux City just as we have done the past 11 years for basketball."

Sioux City will welcome 24 teams for a pool play to quarterfinal single elimination bracket championship tournament. The NAIA Volleyball Championship Presented by Wells Blue Bunny will have 12 opening round matches across the country with the winners advancing to the final site in Sioux City, Iowa. The opening round matches will be played on Saturday, November 22. The top 12 teams in the final NAIA volleyball regular season poll will automatically advance to Sioux City.

Sioux City is under contract with the NAIA to host the 2008 and 2009 Volleyball Championship.

If you would like more information about sponsoring a team or becoming a volunteer at this year's tournament, please contact Spero Vlahoulis at 712-279-4805. Sioux City will host the NAIA Division II Women's Basketball Championship for a 12th time March 11-16, 2009.
