![]() Tom Schlimgen Tom Schlimgen, former high school coach and South Dakota Hall of Fame recipient, has been selected as the new head women's basketball coach for Mount Marty College. Schlimgen has over 30 years of experience coaching high school and amateur sports in South Dakota, with the past 30 of those years in Scotland, South Dakota. At Mount Marty, he will be replacing former women's basketball coach, Chuck Iverson, who has accepted full-time duties as athletic director for Mount Marty College.

![]() Bulldogs GPA is Best in the NAIA The Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) announced its 2007-08 Academic Top 25 Team Honor Roll for NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, NAIA and Junior College/Community College today. For the seventh year Concordia University, Nebraska topped the list. The awards recognize teams throughout the nation that have the highest grade point averages (GPA) for the 2007-08 season based upon nominations submitted by WBCA-member coaches.

![]() Shane Larson Comes to Dana From Fort Hays State Dana College named Shane Larson as new head coach of the Viking women's basketball team. Larson has spent the last two years as the recruiting coordinator and assistant coach at Fort Hays State University in Kansas.
He's also had coaching stints at Piper High School, Washington High School, and his alma mater, Bethany College (KS). Larson replaces Brenda Mechels, who stepped down in May after six seasons.
"I felt right at home at Dana," commented Larson. "I really like the environment of a private liberal arts school. I want to thank Dr. Philipp and Coach Danenhauer for this opportunity."
